John always gave us the sense of safety and that nothing would happen to us as long as he was around. He was a wrestler-on-the-ground kind of dad, and a hold-my-little-girl-close kind of dad. POLLY BUSBY: The John Busby I fell in love with was an athlete. He took his job and his position very seriously. KELLIE COLLIER-DRISCOLL : My uncle John was a guy that you didn't mess with. In his uniform, my dad looked incredibly handsome, I thought. She was there to have fun, but babysitting was how she earned her rent. And then my cousin Kellie who was helping out my parents to take care of us kids. That summer it was me, my two older brothers, Eric and Sean. By the end of the summer we'd all be brown as berries and just relaxed and happy. And we would head out to Old Silver Beach. Every summer day, we'd get up in the morning. Falmouth, Mass., was the ideal place to grow up.
